Rockwood Music Hall April 29th and ! (scroll down)

Hello and Happy Spring!

For those of you that were wondering, yes-- technically it is Spring. However, on my brisk walk this morning, it was freezing cold. I feel terrible for the daffodils all over Central Park, because they are confused and drooping. Everyone please cross your fingers that they survive, and that the trees start to grow their green leaves!

I'm writing today because we have some sweet shows on the Horizon. That's often why I post on our website, but I can't help it. We love performing, and more importantly we love performing for YOU.  From the poster above, you will see our next FULL BAND show will be Monday, April 29th, 7pm at the lovely Rockwood Music Hall, Stage 2. Rockwood Music Hall was recently featured in the NY Times  as they have started their own Record Label! (Congratulations, Ken and the Rockwood team!) We love playing at Rockwood, and we would LOVE to see you on April 29th! You can purchase your tickets in advance by clicking here!

Second, we will be performing a few sweet songs tonight at a new venue for us, 54 Below. The show is called "Writer's Block", A Songwriter's Night, and will be hosted by Mr. Joe Iconis. (In addition to multiple musical theater and songwriting awards, Mr. Iconis' songs are featured on the 2nd season of NBC's SMASH.) Joe asked us to perform, so we won't let him down!!! For the night owls, we will see you tonight in the Studio @ 54Below, 11pm!!!

And, for those of you waiting for OUR SECOND CD...THANK YOU for your patience. Believe me, we've needed it, too! (Patience) Hang tight!!!

Have a wonderful day today-- and perhaps we will see you tonight? If not-- we will see you on April 29th!!! The daffodils will be smiling then! :)

love,

Erin (and my cello)

Hap, Hap, Happy New Year!

Well, today is January 10th, 2013! Never too late for a resolution, right?  We've made quite a few resolutions this year, and we're extremely excited. Especially because this year, 2013, we will release our sophomore album! (!!!) And hopefully with that release, we will perform all over NYC, all across the US, and all over the world! Even better yet...YOU will be able to listen to these sweet E&HC chansons whenever you want.

Artists we Adore: Bjork (!!!)

How can anyone not adore Björk?

A few weeks ago , I had the incredible opportunity to see and hear Björk perform live at the NY Hall of Science,  as part of her Biophilia tour.  As a musician, and a performer, it was one of the BEST performances I have ever seen. Surreal.  In fact, I can't really explain everything that happened that night, nor can I explain the apps that accompany each song on her latest album, so I'm going to direct you to this article on NPR's website. From there, if you are interested in the musical instruments BJORK INVENTED, among other things, then pretty please watch this video.                                                                                                                                                                              THANK YOU, BJORK. You are a genius, dancing above dazzling inspiration.

In other news... we'll be performing in Stripped Stories at UCB Theatre on Thursday, March 8th, 9:30 pm!  (tix only $5!) The Comedians included will be: Dave Hill, (HBO, Sundance Channel), Blaise Kearsly, (How I learned Series) and your HOT Stripped Stories hostesses, Giulia Rozzi & Margot Leitman.  The theme of the evening is "Awkward Encounters"-- NOT THAT WE'VE EVER HAD ANY.

oh, and did I tell you that we've started recording our second album?

With Sincere Gratitude...

Before our music video "drops" this afternoon, I'd like to take a moment to THANK everyone involved. It was such a lovely collaboration between so many people, and we couldn't have done it without ALL of you.         THANK YOU!              THANK YOU!                 THANK YOU!
