Thank you, President Barack Obama.

Eight years ago, I was filled with hope.  And that hope was inspired by who would become our 44th Present, Barack Hussein Obama II. I wrote this little tune, because I was shocked at how much I adored  and respected him.  I was so moved by his words, moved by his gratitude, moved by his love and respect for his wife, his daughters, and especially for his fellow Americans.

And by fellow Americans-- HE MEANT EVERYONE-- regardless of race, gender, religion, sexuality-- finally, a leader who saw and respected EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US-- AS WE ARE.

I do not feel the same way I felt eight years ago.  But, I am so grateful to everything that President Barack Obama has supported, changed, believed in, and worked towards.

Thank you, President Barack Obama.

“Hot for Barack”                                                    by Erin Hall, ASCAP

I don’t care what other people may say
I’ve fallen in the most remarkable way
He’s never seen me— we’ve never met
(Here’s to hoping we just haven’t met yet ;))
It’s not his smile, his dreamy looks,
Not ‘cause he’s the author of two brilliant books,
So many reasons let me try to explain—
Stop me from melting when I hear his name…

      *Hot for Barack *
      *Hot For Barack*
      *Hot for Barack*
      *Hot for Barack *
(continues)

Yes, he’s our President, but what can I say?
       *Hot for Barack*
Keep fallin’ deeper when I hear him say Change
       *Hot for Barack*
Yes, he’s our President who followed his dream,
        *Hot for Barack*
Giving the credit to you and to me

Integrity, Humility—                *H-O-T for Barack*
Finally a leader who knows what that means
You never know just what you can be—    *Hot for Barack*
Thank you, Obama, you have made me believe.

Don’t get me wrong – this song, this LOVE is not in vain
I’m almost certain all of you feel the same
How can you deny such an exemplary life?
I’m so in love with how he looks at his wife
From Ivy League, back to community
The more you give defines the more you receive,
I love our President—He’s changing the world
Yet buying a puppy for his two little girls ;)

                        *Hot for Barack*
A Prez to represent the oh so common man
        *Hot for Barack*
Keep fallin’ deeper when I hear “Yes, We Can”
       *Hot for Barack*
I love our President, he’s changing the world
        *Hot for Barack*
Still buying a puppy for his two little girls
Integrity, Humility--            *H-O-T for Barack*
Finally a leader who knows how to lead
You never know just what you can be         *Hot for Barack*
Thank you, Obama, You have made me believe.

Thank you, Obama—
You have made me believe.

Thank you, Obama.
